FISHERWOMEN : 
The bright colorful saris and their tough demeanor of the fisherwomen (macchiwallis) inspired this painting. During my college days in Mumbai, I would travel in commuter trains ( VT local) where they would board the trains carrying fresh or empty baskets of fresh fish.
