My artwork is the result of everyday observations with color playing a major component. As I go about my day, moments when I drop my kid at school or park or talk with my friends, form the background of my artwork. I am inspired when I read or see a photograph or flip through a magazine. Some are inspired by my heritage whereas some are a result of daydreaming. My mediums are principally oil and pencil. They allow me to layer and blend colors. Both mediums give a textural feel to the paintings. Oils especially allow me to mix colors on the canvas. The process of art-making relaxes and energizes me.
